Milwaukee County Clerk Joe Czarnezki has ordered a special election to fill the vacancy in the office of County Executive created by the resignation of Scott Walker.
“The special election will be held in conjunction with the regular spring election, with the primary election, if necessary, on February 15, 2011 and the general election on April 5,” Czarnezki said.
The first day for candidates for County Executive to circulate nomination papers is December 28, 2010. The deadline for filing nomination papers is 5:00 p.m. on January 11, 2011
Scott Walker resigned as County Executive effective at the close of business on December 27, 2010.
