Brentwood Church bi-monthly Alzheimer’s meeting

Brentwood Church of Christ’s bi-monthly ‘African American Alzheimer’s & Related Dementia Caregiver Support Group’ meeting will be held on Fri., Dec. 3, 2010 from 6:00 – 7:00 pm at the church (6425 N. 60th Street). This group is free and open to the general public. The meeting will include a presentation by Dimitri Mills of VITAS Innovative Hospice Care and will focus on end-of-life care options. African Americans are at a higher risk for developing Alzheimer’s, but are also less likely to be diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease than whites. Please take advantage of this free community resource, it is one of the few African American targeted Alzheimer’s support groups in Milwaukee.
