Career Youth Development, Inc. (CYD) will hold its 40th Annual Image Awards dinner and program on Friday, Oct. 22 at 7:00pm at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, 333 W. Kilbourn Ave. This year CYD will honor the Honorable Vel Phillips as their Woman of the Year and Mr. Reuben Harpole as their Man of the Year. CYD Honorary Chaplin: Rev. Donnie Sims will present a special tribute in memory of the great legacy of the founders of CYD Claretta “Mother Freedom” Simpson and Commissioner Jeannetta Simpson-Robinson.
