The City of Milwaukee Election Commission continues to recruit City of Milwaukee residents to serve as poll workers for the Nov. 2 General Election. An additional 200 workers are needed to ensure that all of the City’s 181 polling sites are well staffed. The Election Commission encourages those city residents who are customer service oriented, problem solvers, efficient, and able to multi-task to contact the Election Commission at 286-3491 or go online at www.milwaukee.gov/election to obtain an application.
Workers are compensated $100 for a full day – 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Attendance at a two hour training session is required and participants are compensated $15 for attending. Training sessions are scheduled throughout the month of October at multiple locations.
To serve as a poll worker, you must be 18 year of age, a U.S. citizen, and a resident of the City of Milwaukee and never have been convicted of a felony.
