- Celebrating the works and life of Dr. William E. Finlayson event was held on Saturday, Feb. 27 at the Wisconsin African American Women’s Center, 3020 W. Vliet Street. Last weekend was a complete celebration for the noted physician who practiced medicine in Milwaukee for 39 years. During that time, he served on the Clinical Faculties of the University of Wisconsin Medical School and the Medical College of Wisconsin. He is known for his commitment to his patients. Dr. William E. Finlayson was joined by a host of family, friends, former colleagues, patients and even babies who are now adults that he has delivered!
