You can become an accountant in as few as 16 months!

February 20, 2010

This time of year, anyone who has to file a tax return (and that’s virtually everybody!) is looking for a good accountant. That’s why the demand for accountants is so high. But did you know that all you need to be an accountant is an Associate degree? And did you realize you can earn that degree in as few as 16 months at Bryant & Stratton College?

According to the U.S. Department of Labor, bookkeeping, accounting, and auditing clerks held about 2.1 million jobs in 2008 (the last year for which complete figures are available) and they are employed in nearly every industry. The large size of this occupation ensures plentiful job openings, including many opportunities for temporary and part-time work.

The Department of Labor goes on to say that accounting is one of the largest growth occupations in the economy, with about 212,400 new jobs expected over the next decade. That’s a growth rate of 10 percent!

At Bryant & Stratton College, you can earn your Accounting degree on campus, online, or through a combination of both. But however you earn your degree, you’ll receive the same high level of personal attention they provide to all their students.

Your instructors will work with you to make certain you understand the materials. If you need extra help, you’ll get it. And when you earn your degree, Bryant & Stratton College will help you find a position in your field—for life! In fact, they have a college-wide job placement rate of 92%.

Classes are forming now for Bryant & Stratton College’s Spring semester. To enroll, or for more information, visit or call the campus near you: Downtown on West Wisconsin Avenue (414.276.5200), in Wauwatosa on West Potter Road (414.302.7000), and in Bayshore Town Center (414.961.9600).
