Cricket clothes call to benefit Salvation Army of Greater Milwaukee
Cricket Communications, Inc., a leading provider of unlimited wireless services, is calling all Milwaukeeans to participate in the Cricket Clothes Call Dec. 1–19. Celebrating its one-year anniversary in the Wisconsin market, Cricket is partnering with the Salvation Army of Greater Milwaukee to help warm hands and hearts this holiday season. Milwaukeeans are encouraged to drop off their new or gently used cold weather gear at one of Cricket’s four Milwaukee-area corporate stores.
“Cricket has been in Wisconsin a year now, and we’re truly grateful to the Milwaukee community and its residents for their continued support,” said Carrie McKenzie, district director for Cricket in Milwaukee. “We realize the Salvation Army fi lls a great need, especially this time of year, and we’re excited to partner with them to help keep Milwaukeeans warm this winter.”
Items of special need include mittens, hats, socks and coats. For every item collected, Cricket will donate $1 to the Salvation Army. In addition to matching each donation, Cricket will thank customers who donate with a $5 credit towards ringtones, games, wallpaper and more.
Cricket strives to become an active corporate citizen in each of the communities it serves by getting involved with local nonprofit organizations. The company partnered last holiday season with the Hunger Task Force. On a national level, Cricket partners with Rebuilding Together, an organization that helps preserve affordable home ownership and improve the homes and lives of low-income homeowners.
