Milwaukee residents seeking work connected with potential employers at the Spring Career Fair held by the Social Development Commission (SDC) W-2 program.
Two dozen firms took applications and offered information on job openings at the job fair held at the Wisconsin Army National Guard Armory on North Richards Street. The morning-long event was organized by the Job’s effort of the W-2 Program and attracted more than 700 people. The goal of the day was to link Milwaukee County residents seeking work with employment opportunities.
A wide range of employers were busy talking with many potential new employees at the Career Fair. They included Manpower International, Masterson Personnel, Outpost Foods, Home Depot, Wells Fargo Bank, Avon , and Wisconsin Security Police Services. A number of SDC programs were represented as well including the Transitional Jobs and Youth and Family Development programs.
The Spring Career Fair is the latest in a series of job finding events put on by the SDC W-2 program. Future fairs will be held at individual W-2 field sites across the county in coming weeks.
