Residents who work or go to school fulltime and need to get help paying utility bills will have a new tool to achieve that.
The Social Development Commission has designed a way to schedule a Saturday appointment for the Energy Assistance program via its website. The new system is designed to help fulltime students and fulltime workers who are unavailable to visit program sites during regular business hours Monday through Friday.
To use the new appointment system, visit the Social Development Commission webpage at www.cr-sdc.org, click on the Programs tab on the homepage, then on the Energy Assistance listing and finally on the link for scheduling a Saturday Energy Assistance appointment. The new system is an effort to make the Energy Assistance more accessible to Milwaukee County residents.
Appointments can also be made by calling the program hotline at 414-906-2800.
