Elections coming for SDC Board

Plans are underway to publicly elect six members to the Social Development Commission (SDC) Board of Commissioners. The 18-person board is made up of 12 appointed and 6 elected members. Elections are held for the 6 every three years. Starting the third week of January, interested residents will be able to access information on the election and view district maps from the SDC website at http://www.cr-sdc.org/. Potential candidates will have until March 8, 2013 to gather at least 200 valid signatures from residents of their district. The election will be held on a date in April and at locations still being determined.
