Residents of the Milwaukee community have felt the effects of Scott Walker’s war on Wisconsin. As mayor, Tom Barrett also knows first-hand the devastating effects of Scott Walker’s ideological war and how it’s harming this city and state.
Since Walker laid out his radical ideological agenda, Tom has been fighting against Walker’s initiatives and has pledged to reverse this if he is elected governor in the upcoming election.
Of all the primary candidates, Tom will make the best governor. He’s also the candidate who has the best chance to beat Walker.
Tom has always stood up for the Milwaukee community – as a state legislator, U.S. congressman and mayor. If elected governor, he’ll be able to do even more good for the city and state. He’ll fight injustice and discrimination. He’ll help fund education. He’ll help our elderly and poor. He’ll work hard to beat Walker in the election, and he’ll work tirelessly as governor to improve the lives of the people of our city and state.
Walker has caused great pain in our community. We’ve seen a jobs record in Wisconsin under Walker that’s worse than in any other state. Walker’s attacked working men and women. He’s chopped funding for schools. And he’s taken actions that set back women’s basic rights by decades. And his passed a restrictive voter ID law that makes it hard for people to vote.
It’s important to vote in this recall because Walker’s ideological war needs to end before he does even more damage. And Wisconsin needs to elect a governor who will stand up for the people, like Tom Barrett. Tom truly cares about the community and he gets things done. He will deliver for this community if he is elected – just as he always has.
Wisconsin needs to end Walker’s war on the poor, the elderly and education. Walker’s war can be stopped by voting on May 8 and electing Tom Barrett.
