Metro Market Singles Night aims to bring hearts together for the American Heart Association

2 February 2013

The latest Singles Night at Metro Market hopes to raise money for the American Heart Association. On Friday, February 1 from 10 p.m. to Midnight, the Metro Market, owned by Roundy’s Supermarkets, Inc. and located at 1123 N. Van Buren in downtown Milwaukee, will host a special Singles Night. Dubbed “Heart to Heart,” the event aims to bring hearts together for the American Heart Association (AHA), with all proceeds from a $5 entry fee going directly to the AHA.

Singles Night attendees will enjoy food, drinks, music and interactive games, including turkey bowling and a “Lady in Red” competition, in which teams work to design accessories with Saran Wrap. There will be wine tasting, an appearance by the Milwaukee Bucks Energee! Dance team and a chance to win prizes from drawings throughout the night.

Each person will receive an AHA red dress pin, as a reminder of the night’s important message of fighting heart disease. There will be a station to check your blood pressure, a table with heart-healthy information and recipes, remarks by a heart attack survivor and information about the Milwaukee Bucks Red Out Night on Saturday, February 2, where $10 per game ticket sold goes directly to the American Heart Association.

Charitable Organizations Can Win

Charitable organizations can register to win a $100 gift card. A representative must email the group’s name to RoundysFoundation@roundys.com. The name will be on a list at the door of Singles Night and the group will get credit for everyone who arrives and mentions that they are a member or representing the group. The organization with the most people by the end of the night gets the prize. Deadline to register a group is 5 p.m. on Friday, February 1.

Previous Singles Nights have attracted as many as 500 people. With February 14th just around the corner, attendees this time may even find their Valentine. For more information, customers can contact the Metro Market customer service desk at 414-273-1928 or visit the store’s Facebook page
