Milwaukee City Treasurer Spencer Coggs announced this week that he is implementing new office hours.

Effective Monday, July 9, 2012, the Office of the City Treasurer will service both telephone and walk-in customers from 8:15 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., Monday through Friday.

Treasurer Coggs stated that the change in office hours will reduce the department’s exposure to overtime expenditures required under the Fair Labor Standards Act and match those of the City Clerk’s License Division, whose offices are located immediately down the hall from the City Treasurer’s Office.

Treasurer Coggs also noted that taxpayers will continue to have access to current property tax account information 24/7 via the department’s web site at www.city.milwaukee.gov/treasurer.
