Help save the day by donating blood through the American Red Cross

10 July 2010

An American Red Cross worker shares a light moment with a donor.

Down the street and across the country there are patients in need of lifesaving blood. Area residents can be a summer lifesaver and make a difference in the lives of others by donating blood through the American Red Cross. “Every day, blood is needed for people with blood disorders, cancer patients, transplant recipients, trauma victims and many others,” said Greg Novinska, CEO of the American Red Cross Badger-Hawkeye Blood Services Region. “When you give blood, you reach out to help those in need.”

When you roll up your sleeve to donate through the American Red Cross, that single act can turn heartbreak into hope for patients and their families. During the summer, when blood donations tend to slow, eligible blood donors are needed even more. Please schedule an appointment to donate blood today.
