Tour Historic Central Library
Tour the Central Library, 814 W. Wisconsin Ave., with the Friends. Free tours begin at 11 a.m. each Saturday afternoon in the rotunda. Tour goers receive a coupon for a free book at the end of the tour in the Bookseller Store and Café. To arrange for a special tour call (414) 286-TOUR.

Oh Freedom! Sons of the Civil Rights Movement
Award-winning folksinger Chris Vallillo will perform pivotal songs from the music that inspired and sustained the Civil Rights Movement at Central Library, 814 W. Wisconsin Ave. on Sunday, November 20, 2-3 p.m. Interspersed with the music will be firsthand accounts of the historic struggle and the impact of music on our nation’s most important social cause.
Spotlight Exhibit Series
The Spotlight Exhibit Series will showcase rotating exhibits from the Milwaukee Public Library’s Rarities Collection every month. Stop in to view the reception room and enjoy a self-guided tour of prints, posters, illuminated manuscripts, and other treasures not normally on display to the public at Central Library, 814 W. Wisconsin Ave., Tuesday, November 22, 12-7 p.m. in the Richard E. and Lucile Krug Rare Books Room.
Book to Art Club
Engage with popular literature in a hands-on, imaginative way! Read a selected novel then work on an art project inspired by the story at the East Branch, 2320 N. Cramer St., Tuesday, November 22, 6-7 p.m. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Please register online or by calling Ready Reference at 286-3011.
