Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Wisconsin, Inc. recently named Angela Adams as Director of Community Relations. In this new position she will lead Goodwill’s efforts to cultivate relationships with key stakeholders in the community that are connected to the delivery of Goodwill’s mission.
Most recently, Adams was the Director of Community Relations for Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare where she was responsible for community sponsorships and community engagement efforts across southeastern Wisconsin.
Adams has worked with Johnson Controls and Pfizer where she held various roles in public relations and marketing communications. For ten years she operated her own communications and event marketing firm taking on many projects including that of Executive Director for the African World Festival.
Adams community affiliations and honors include being President-Elect of the Professional Dimensions Board of Directors, is a long-time volunteer for the Wisconsin National Guard as a Family Readiness Group Leader, where in 2014 she accepted The Partnership Award – the highest award a group can receive in the State Family Readiness Program. She is also a past participant of the Cardinal Stritch African-American Leadership Program (AALP) where she was instrumental in kicking off the AALP Alumni Program in 2013. Adams received the Johnson Controls Chairman’s Award and the President’s Award for her contributions to convene a national forum of public and private sector business leaders, policy makers and dignitaries focused on the advancement of energy efficiency and environmental issues.
