MADISON – Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority’s Upsilon Mu Omega chapter will be holding their Playground mobilization and backpack impact day this month. AKA’s efforts are designed to provide high impact programs to provide healthy environments and improve the quality of life in underserved communities. As an AKA member, Senator Lena Taylor (D-Milwaukee) partners with AKA on their efforts. The group will join thousands of fellow AKA members across the nation to help 1,908 community and school playgrounds with their “Restore, Refresh, Renew” project. This year, the group will build a new floral garden at Thurston Woods Campus’ playground.
