Milwaukee Native Wins Prestigious Fulbright Award

Peoria, IL – March 18, 2016 – Bradley University senior and Milwaukee native, Sojourner White, has received the prestigious Fulbright U.S. Student Award. White is a senior double major in psychology and Spanish with a minor in women’s studies. She is a 2012 graduate of Rufus King International School in Milwaukee, WI.

White will teach English and serve as a cultural ambassador in Spain. The Fulbright Program is the flagship international educational exchange program of the United States. As a cultural ambassador while overseas, White will help enhance mutual understanding between Americans and the people in Spain. She joins over 100,000 Fulbright U.S. Student Program alumni who have undertaken grants since the program began in 1948.

White works as an intern in the International Programs Office on campus for which she recently received one of Bradley’s Smith Career Center Outstanding Intern Awards.
