The Wraparound Milwaukee Program is working to expand a unique program that pairs youth and foster parents.
The Professional Foster Parent program connects youth who have complex needs with strong, devoted and engaged foster parents.
The foster parents are paid a full-time salary and typically serve as care coordinators for their foster children.
The program is the only one of its kind in the state.
“The Professional Foster Parent Program is a great model with proven success,” said Wraparound Milwaukee director Bruce Kamradt.
Wraparound, St. Charles Youth & Family Services, and La Causa will hold an informational session for the program on Wednesday, April 2, 2014.
Anyone interested in learning more about professional foster parenting and how to get involved is encouraged to attend.
