Learning how to navigate the Child Support System

March 15, 2014

Understanding child support can be a challenge but the Social Development Commission will partner with My Father’s House to help bring information on the potentially confusing issues surrounding the topic.

SDC and Al Holmes of My Father’s House will present a free financial wellness workshop focused on child support Wednesday, March 19 at SDC Richards Street.

The session will begin at 10am in the lower level of the facility located at 4041 N. Richards Street and is open to the public.

The workshop will show residents how to effectively use Milwaukee County Child Support Services, how to understand court orders, and how to request payment reductions.

The discussion will help expand participants’ understanding of child support payments and the system that coordinates them in Milwaukee County.

Free tax preparation will also be offered to attendees following the workshop.
