Looking for a new school for the fall? MPS enrollment now open in person or online

February 15, 2014

Apply by Feb. 21 for your best opportunity for a seat in your first-choice school

stay-at-mps-milwaukee-public-schools-open-enrollmentMilwaukee Public Schools is encouraging families looking for a new school for the fall to take advantage of MPS’ Three-Choice Enrollment process, which is open through February 21 and gives families the best opportunity for a seat in their first-choice school.

Families do have preferred access to their neighborhood schools during the Three-Choice process.

Families are invited to visit any MPS school, a parent resource center (located at North Division, South Division and Washington high schools) or http://mpsmke.com/enrollMPS to find the school that’s best for their family and apply.

Bilingual services are available in Spanish at the South Division parent center and in Hmong at Washington High School of Information Technology parent center.

Enrollments received after February 21 will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis and some schools may be full at that time.

MPS offers the greatest selection of high-performing school options in the city for students from age 3 through high school graduation – and some of those options cannot be found anywhere else in the community.

MPS options include strong neighborhood schools; arts, Career and Technical Education (CTE), International Baccalaureate (IB), language immersion and Montessori specialty schools; and charter schools.

“We invite families from Milwaukee and surrounding communities to see the truly innovative programs available in Milwaukee Public Schools,” MPS Superintendent Gregory Thornton said.
