The Potawatomi Bingo Casino’s Miracle on Canal Street Program team personally delivered checks to local charities who shared over $1 million, the amount was the second largest raised in a single year. The Potawatomi team presented a check for $35,813 to Outreach Community Health Centers. Outreach was one of 10 charities chosen randomly live the night of the event. This was a new twist that Miracle on Canal Street for the first time. Also, for the first time ever, and in celebration of Miracle on Canal Street’s 20th anniversary, the Casino surprised the remaining 136 eligible children’s charities by announcing every organization would share in this year’s program by splitting one-third of the grand total.
