The New Jubilee Community Choir

The New Jubilee Community Choir will be presented in concert on Sunday, December 8, 2013 at 4:00 PM at New Testament Church of Milwaukee 10201 West Bradley Road, Milwaukee, WI Julius R. Malone, Senior

The choir, is under the direction of Dr. Wallace M. Cheatham, who recently completed his work, “Racism and Sexism: Melodies That Continue to Soar on the Operatic Landscape, and as a contributing author for Opera In A Multicultural World: a book that will be published by the University of Toronto Press.

Director Cheatham was inducted into the Robert H. Harvey Knoxville College Alumni Hall of Fame.

In addition to his involvement as conductor of the New Jubilee Choral Ensembles, Dr. Cheatham also serves as Director of Music at Brookfield Presbyterian Church, performance pianist for the Chancel Choir at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, and music director for the African American Children’s Theater.

This concert is open to the community. A freewill offering will be taken.

The New Jubilee Community Choir Mission Statement

The mission of the Committee for the Promotion of Excellence in Music is to sing to the glory of God and provide a forum for singers–children, youth and adults—to learn and perform the wonderful works of accomplished composers of sacred and classical music.

More importantly, we wish to advance, through monetary grants and scholarships, the education of students with special or outstanding abilities in the field of music

All donations will assist the musical education of our current Scholarship Recipients.
