Hansberry-Sands presents the comedy ‘The Old Settler’

Hansberry-Sands will open their 33rd season with the spirited, The Old Settler.

The charming comedy is set in New York’s Harlem community during the Harlem Renaissance age. This coming of age comedy could be described as “love and laughter”.

Two sisters who are in constant battle, keeping a “lively Spirt” came to the realization-Whatever life throws at you (even in family) Love will conquer all.

The shows will be held at The Marcus Center for The Performing Arts at Vogel Hall, located at 123 E. State Street beginning on Friday, Sept. 27, 2013. The shows will run on Friday, Sept. 27 at 8:00 pm, and Saturday, Sept. 28 at 8:00 pm.

The following weekend, Friday, Oct. 4 & Saturday, Oct. 5 at 8:00 pm and Sunday, Oct. 6 at 4:00 pm.

Tickets in advance are $23.00 and $26.00 at the door.

Group rates include; 15 or more $20.00 each, at The Marcus Center Box Office only.

There will be a Community Appreciation Night on the first night on Friday, Sept. 27 for $15.00 a ticket.
