Macy’s offers customers a one-day 25 percent discount with a $5 donation to March of Dimes

Macy’s and the March of Dimes – Wisconsin Chapter invite customers to participate in the eighth annual national Shop For A Cause charity event on Aug. 24, 2013.

Macy’s Shop For A Cause is a unique, oneday- only shopping event, created to support the fundraising efforts of local charities. Since partnering with Macy’s, March of Dimes has raised more than $13 million. By purchasing a $5 Shop For A Cause savings pass, customers will be supporting March of Dimes and will receive 25 percent off regular, sale and clearance merchandise, as well as 10 percent off electrics, electronics, watches, furniture, mattresses and area rugs in the store all day Saturday, Aug. 24. Customers also are eligible to win a $500 gift card.

New this year, customers can purchase savings passes using their smart phones, while receiving the same great Macy’s deal. Customers who choose to participate via their mobile devices will receive a $5 charge on their phone bill from their wireless provider. Customers can also shop online at macys.com, as passes purchased there on Aug. 24 will also benefit the March of Dimes.
