Prospective students are invited to explore Milwaukee Area Technical College’s accelerated associate degree programs at a free open house from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, at the West Allis Campus, 1200 S. 71st St. Designed for busy, working adults, MATC’s accelerated programs meet one evening per week in eight-week sessions or are offered online. Applied knowledge is emphasized and accelerated programs can be completed in three years or less with minimal in-class time.
Attendees will meet with program faculty, receive detailed information about specific programs and how they will help students reach career goals, learn about four-year college transfer options and apply for the Fall 2013 semester, which begins Aug. 26. Attendees who plan to apply for admission should bring a copy of their high school or college transcript. Credits earned at other colleges may apply to MATC associate degrees.
MATC accelerated associate degree programs include: administrative professional, business management, IT information systems security specialist, IT network specialist (also offered online), legal administrative professional, marketing management (also offered online) and supervisory management. A liberal arts and sciences associate degree designed to be applied to transfer to a four-year college also is offered in an online, accelerated format.
