Rexnord Corporation to match Thanksgiving turkey donation.
For the second consecutive year, Rexnord Corporation is teaming up with Hunger Task Force to run the Rexnord Turkey Ticker Challenge! Donating turkeys to Hunger Task Force has become a Thanksgiving tradition and local leader Rexnord has stepped up to once again match the number of birds that will be delivered to local families for the holiday.
Donating a turkey online or in person at Hunger Task Force will result in the Turkey Ticker count ticking up on Hunger Task Force’s I-94 electronic signboard. Last year, 1,390 turkeys were donated and matched by Rexnord for a total of 2,780 fresh turkeys delivered to local families.
Hunger in Milwaukee continues to be a problem with one out of two children going to bed hungry every night.
Hunger Task Force will be filling Thanksgiving bins with donations of festive foods to ease the stress for families so they can enjoy a home cooked holiday meal that will include donated fresh potatoes and gravy, fresh fruit, pie for dessert, and of course, the turkey!
“The Turkey Ticker is a great reminder that Thanksgiving is just around the corner. Rexnord is demonstrating great leadership by matching gifts made by the public.
