Milwaukee area residents will be able to talk with employers hiring workers as well as access services designed to help land a new job. Milwaukee County Supervisor Russell Stamper II and the Social Development Commission (SDC) are hosting a free Employment, Training and Education Expo Thursday, August 23.
The Expo will be staged at the Washington Park Senior Center at 4420 W. Vliet between 10 am and 2 pm. It will feature a number of employers who have open positions they are seeking to fill. Those businesses include We Energies, Patrick Cudahy, Marcus Hotels, Guaranty Bank, Manpower, Job Corps, and the City of Milwaukee. Organizations offering job training and educational opportunities will also be present.
Interested residents are encouraged to come to the Expo dressed professionally and with multiple copies of their updated resumes.
