Senator Lena C. Taylor (DMilwaukee) has announced the addition of Ray Harmon to her office as Deputy Chief of Staff. Mr. Harmon is longtime political leader and native of Milwaukee that brings a wealth of experience and connections to the people of the 4th Senate District.
“I am pleased to welcome Ray Harmon to my office as Deputy Chief of Staff.” Taylor commented. “Ray is a leader in our community that has the skills and vision to connect the people of Milwaukee to the work we do in the Capitol. Ray will help to serve to my district more efficiently and be a major player in policy decisions to grow jobs, develop entrepreneurship, and redevelop our community infrastructure.”
Mr. Harmon has a long history involved in State and local politics and government. He has served on staffs at Milwaukee County, the City of Milwaukee, and Milwaukee Public Schools. In the Doyle Administration, he both worked at WHEDA and ran Governor Doyle’s Southeast Wisconsin office. Additionally, he served as Assistant to Madison Mayor Dave Cieslewicz in charge of policy and administration. Most recently, he was a candidate for Alderman in Milwaukee’s northwest area of the city.
“I’m honored to be working for such a great leader that fights for constituents, keeps the community informed and has stood up to the oppressive policies and tactics of the Walker Administration. The Senator’s record of protecting the most vulnerable citizens in the community speaks for itself.” Harmon said.
Harmon will coordinate and lead the work of Senator’s Taylor’s Milwaukee office at 642 W North Ave in the former Inner-City Arts Council building.
