Rep. Grigsby health update: Moved out of intensive care, making progress

January 5, 2012

Tamara Grigsby

Madison – Earlier this week, the Office of Rep. Tamara Grigsby (D-Milwaukee) released the following statement regarding the representative’s recovery and her move out of intensive care:

“Over the course of the past week, Rep. Grigsby has made phenomenal progress in her medical recovery. Tamara has been released from intensive care and is being closely monitored under regular patient care. In addition, she is now able to breathe on her own and eat solid meals. Tests confirm that Tamara has suffered no brain damage.

Rep. Grigsby has indicated she is not in pain and is determined to recover.

“Doctors continue to aid Tamara in her recovery and are working to address complications involving her kidneys and liver, which have been potentially compromised. Family and medical staff are very encouraged by her progress and remain confident of a steady recovery.”
