The ‘Be A Reader’ tour made its stop at Milwaukee Academy of Science

December 10, 2011

Paul Krainiak, Discovery World executive director, joined in the ‘Be A Reader’ tour when it made its stop at Milwaukee Academy of Science, located at 2000 W. Kilbourn Ave. recently. He read aloud to fifth-grade students to inspire and motivate them to make reading a part of everyday life. In addition, students received a free book for their home libraries. Through the national ‘Be A Reader’ partnership, the lunchmeat brand is donating $100,000 to RIF to support children’s literacy programs. Buddig chose Milwaukee for the last stop on this 10-city tour because the Old Wisconsin Sausage Company is based here. (Photo by Robert A. Bell)
