Pictured above are Hilda and Willie Perkins, founders of Mr. Perkins Restaurant, located at 2001 W. Atkinson Ave., a staple in Milwaukee’s African American community since 1969. The couple celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary recently on Sept. 10, 2011, the couple married on Sept. 8, 1951. The celebration was held at CTK Quality of Life Center on N. 60th Street.
