Winners can earn up to $250 in free gas
In Wisconsin, we’re always looking for new ways to have fun and to share those memories with family and friends.
This summer, take it one step further and show everyone your memorable Wisconsin experiences by entering the “Picture the Fun” photo contest. Online voting will determine 12 winners who will receive a prize of a free gas card. Uploaded photos may also be featured in a future Wisconsin Department of Tourism advertising campaign.
“There are nearly six billion photo uploads to Facebook every month,” Tourism Secretary Stephanie Klett said. “We have leveraged this popularity of photo sharing as a natural extension of our “Picture the Fun” summer campaign and we hope the photo contest inspires travelers to ‘tell’ their story and share their experiences and moments in Wisconsin with family and friends.”
To enter, individuals can visit TravelWisconsin.com and click the “Picture the Fun” icon or go to the Travel Wisconsin Facebook page. Once on the contest’s homepage, simply upload one photo entry per category and provide a brief description including any relevant information such as the city, attraction and event name. Once a photo is submitted, entrants will be asked to provide their name, email address and date of birth. Winners will be selected based on the final online voting results for each category.
- Contestants are encouraged to upload personal photos to any of the following four photo categories:
- “Great Outdoors”
- “Wisconsin Landmarks & Attractions”
- “Fairs, Festivals & Food”
- “Hidden Gems”
- Users will be limited to one photo entry per category. Submissions will be accepted June 2 through July 15.
- The public is invited to vote for each photo entry once per day July 18 through August 5. To vote, visit TravelWisconsin.com or the Travel Wisconsin Facebook page. Winners will be announced August 15 through September 2.
- There will be three winners in each of the four categories. Each first place winner will receive a $250 gas card; each second place winner will receive a $100 gas card; and each third place winner will receive a $50 gas card. No purchase necessary.
