Milwaukee Bucks held their ‘Books on Blast’ event

Last week the Milwaukee Bucks held their ‘Books on Blast’ event for more than 800 Milwaukee Public School students. The event is for the annual Bucks & Sam’s Hope for Literacy Foundation Book Blast. The children, who were from Milwaukee French Immersion, Bruce Elementary, Fratney Elementary School, Hartford University School and Wisconsin Conservatory of Life Long Learning. Pictured above is Milwaukee Bucks guard Michael Redd reading to a group of students. Other players and coaches led similar group readings and discussions. Each student left with a new book to take home, thanks to the donation of books from Scholastic Book Fairs, who also partnered with the Bucks and Sam’s Hope for this year’s event.
