As ranking Assembly Democrat on the Joint Committee on Finance, State Representative Tamara Grigsby (D-Milwaukee) issued the following statement in response to Gov. Walker’s 2011-2013 budget proposal:
“Gov. Walker is officially waging war on Wisconsin families. Far from reform, this budget will only add to Republicans’ ongoing assault on working families and Wisconsin values.
“Everyday, it is becoming clearer and clearer that the ‘Walker Way’ is vastly different from the Wisconsin Way. This budget assails Wisconsin’s long-held traditions, yet fails to create jobs. As a member of the Joint Committee on Finance, I will fight to stop the devastating blows that this budget will place on our citizens.
“Budgets are about priorities and about where you stand. I challenge Gov. Walker to stand with the people of Wisconsin.”
