Congresswoman Gwen Moore’s office informed The Courier of some corrections that her office has made regarding some statistics stated in last week’s article on Voter ID. Here they are: 17 percent (not 83 percent) of Wisconsinites do not have a driver’s license. (This is from a 2005 UWM study). There are 88 (not 91) DMVs in Wisconsin. (This has been verified by WisDot). About 30 percent (not 26 percent) of Wisconsin’s 88 DMVs are open either one day a month or even less frequently. (This has been verified by WisDot).
