Captain Edith Hudson of Milwaukee Police District 5 accepted an award that recognizes the King Drive Partners and Milwaukee Police Department from the MetLife Foundation Community-Police Partnership last week. The honor recognized the reduction of crime and the spurring of lasting economic development along the historic Dr. Martin Luther King Drive in downtown Milwaukee. Presenting the award on behalf of MetLife is Leo Ries, executive director of Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) Milwaukee.
