Milwaukee is now the fourth poorest city in the United States according to new figures just released by the U.S. Census Bureau. The news comes as one Milwaukee alderman worries about the educational and public safety institutions within Wisconsin’s largest city.[1]
Some say that it’s the Democrats and their policies that is the reason we are in a position of a falling star. Republicans state that they will give us jobs and it is within the jobs that will provide for the masses to rise above this position of poverty.
Why is it that the richer surrounding the poor as if they are their guardsman? And even though it is a 2000 census, today it still looks the same… feels the same.
Milwaukee Poverty
In 2000, nearly one-third of blacks in metropolitan Milwaukee lived in poverty—a rate seven times greater than whites in the same area. Metro Milwaukee’s racial disparity in poverty rates is twice the national average and larger than in any other metropolitan area in the country.[2]
The facts are out there and I could go on and on. I just wanted to show what you already know… it is hard out there. However, after talking to some of my brothers who are homeless, asking them what the problem is, some say “I need to work.” While others say, “Why work if the government is taking care of me?” I look at the education system and asked the kids what is the problem, “Why should I study, selling drugs can bring in more money.” “My mother is doing drugs.” I have talked to those who have money and a job and they say, “I want more because I don’t want to lose my “big houses and boats and fancy cars.”
One side called the poor says I love Jesus for bringing me over. The other side says I love Jesus because of his protection from the poor, from being part of the poor. Mix in politics, race, gender, and sexism and you have a pool of crap where no one can see the truth.
I have been at a dinner where they were giving praises for employing 63 people in part time work, while where they were, plus the gifts that were given, and the money that it took to hire the staff could have paid 150 people. Some pastors have enough clothes in their closets such that they could cloth 10 families for a year. Some of us have enough of food in our kitchens with which we could feed 5 families every week. I have to say Satan is not even in this. Greed of this world’s kingdom has killed us all.
I say killed us all because in history NO empire has ever lasted. If the rich keep being rich as ones who do not act as a Boaz, then the rich will not enter into the next life. If the poor keep waiting for handouts and not bowing up and taking control and hold onto the dominion God has given you… you will not enter into the next life. Churches need to be for the poor and not the rich to pay your bills. Leaders need to be the example of Christ – Not the ones who killed Christ… you are considered the Constantine Christians, sucking the blood from the poor while the empire is taking care of you or you trying to receive all the empire has to offer.
The next life I speak of is not the Heaven of God, but when this empire falls because God is mad at us all! As HE did Sodom and upon Gomorrah, as HE did to Rome, as HE is going to do to US. When HE starts His destruction upon us where will you run to?
Do not think just because you love Jesus you don’t have work to do. Warning… rich help the poor – poor bold up and help yourself and all get ready, it is coming.
