I want to show you something that I will expound on later in my Bible Class starting September 27th…
There was a time not long ago when there were horses pulling a carriage as a form of transportation for people. There was a man who was an engineer, who while walking the streets to work said to himself, “What would happen if I put an engine in front of the carriage?”
In his spare time, he took his pencil and some paper and began to draw out what he had said to himself. After a short time, he took what he said and the paper and started a painstaking build.
After he built it, he stood back and saw that it was good. It was so good we can’t live without it. From that day when he said it, to today, where we drive it: it’s called a car. The designer’s name was Nicolas-Joseph Cugnot (1725-1804)
The reason I brought this up is to bring out the following scripture…
Genesis 1:9-12 ( KJV ) 9And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. 10And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.
Notice in verse 9 “God said…” then in that same verse you see, “and it was so.” This implies, as God speaks of something, within that speech, action has to follow. After the defining of what God had spoken of, then the last thing in verse 10 is “God saw it was good.” Believe it or not this is the format of what it means to have true faith.
From God to Nicolas-Joseph Cugnot, the process has not changed. The format is as follows:
- One speaks of an idea
- One acts on that idea
- One looks at the physical evidence of that idea and it shall be called “good”
If you wonder how I came up with this, know that it’s in the scripture…
- God breathed into Adam’s nose making him a living soul (Gen 2:7) – this has not changed.
- God designed us to have dominion (Gen 1:28) – this has not changed.
- God has given us His image and His likeness (Gen 1:26) – this has not changed.
If nothing has changed from God and what He did, then the things that did change, such as sin, did not affect what God did in Genesis chapters 1 and 2. If this is the case then what I just listed is still a viable format. This means, what I just wrote about is still possible for you to work on today.
The problem is that a lot of you are standing still. Your faith is without works, making you dead physically as well as spiritually. And not only are your dreams dead, but you are slapping God in His face… God has given you everything you need to have dominion on this Earth physically and spiritually, through His son Jesus. God has also shown you the format in what to do to get what you want in your life to be what He wanted you to do, but some of you have taken His likeness, His breath and presented yourself physically and spiritually dead while worshipping God weekly; a clear slap to God in His creating us all. I know that some of you are standing still waiting on Jesus; fine… let your life waste away.
What you need to do is to step out and be an ambassador to Christ by acting and fulfilling your God given gifts. Take your ideas and speak of them, put some hard work behind it, along with the belief that it will come to pass, and produce evidence. It is within that evidence one can sit back as see that it is good. You have not, not because you did not ask for it. You have not because the lack of belief within yourself, the lack of belief and action towards it and the biggest one, waiting while wanting someone else to give it to you.
The main question is, “Do you know who you are?” To me, a lot of you are bringing your slavery mentality to the table. You might not be as an individual, but as a people, I believe we are. If you want to go to that next level in your life spiritually as well as physically… come…
