Before the beginning of the thought of you, God wanted you to have a gift.
1 Corinthians 3:16-17 ( KJV ) 16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 17If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
The first gift is the breath of God, as Adam you receive a living soul. Because of that gift, He has given us all a purpose…
Genesis 2:15 ( KJV ) 15And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.
Some of us are to “dress” the world, to make it beautiful. Meaning to defend the weak animals, to make the grounds beautiful, or present the buildings sharp and in order. On the other hand, some are to “keep” or to “guard” this earth. Some are to guard us physically and spiritually by protecting the weak, the fatherless, and the widows, to name a few. Think on this, when God told Adam these two commandments, did God change the purpose? If God has not changed then the beginning to the end has not changed. The only thing that changes is the gifts that each of us have to either dress it or to keep it.
1 Corinthians 12:6-11 ( KJV ) 6And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. 7But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. 8For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; 9To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; 10To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: 11But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.
The gift is not only within us, the gift is given to us by the Spirit of God, from one or more of the 7 Spirits that stand before the throne of God. Therefore what makes you a living soul is first God’s Spirit, then the Spirit who holds the gifts, then third the Holy Ghost.
So let me put it together for you…
Acts 2:1-4 ( KJV ) 1And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. 3And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. 4And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
After those in the upper room heard the sound and had seen the cloven tongues, they were filled with the Holy Ghost. The focus should be placed on “as the Spirit gave them utterance.” Keep in mind from my last article that the Holy Ghost is the teacher of all things. If so then the Holy Ghost is the one who taught those in the upper room the gift of language but only after the Spirit of God came and had given them the language that each is to speak for the purpose of:
Matthew 28:19-20 ( KJV ) 19Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
This is what I mean when I state that wrong translation = wrong God. When you allow others to teach you wrong, you wrongly call out on the wrong spirits. When you do that, you are left powerless, unfulfilled, and with a feeling that there is more, but not knowing what it is.
Let me tell you the truth as God has given to me to so that you can be fulfilled, that is if you are not fearful to do so.
Within the month of September I will be starting my Bible Study class for those who want a little more of what they are / or are not getting. Call or go to my web site for more details if you would like to attend.
