Killing the power within

June 26, 2010

Pt. 2

Temptation is something that we all will have until the end of time; however, to be tempted is not the same as falling into sin! You have the power through the blood of Jesus and the commandments to overcome sin; just know that Satan will always tempt you.

Matthew 4:8-9 (KJV) 8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and showeth him (all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them); 9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.

Point 1 – The kingdom of this world is so different than the Kingdom of God. What has been happening to the people by the so-called Preachers/Teachers, is they’ve been directing the people to look at the kingdom of this world. They are using “God” to give you the riches of this world, knowing Satan and within his power will give you all you ask; it’s been called, “prosperity.” Be aware when you call out “God” it might not be the God of the Heaven and Earth, but it might be from the god called Satan. Remember, “all these things will I give thee” the scripture states.

The fact that you call out God does not mean it is the God of Heaven and Earth. Keep in mind when you call out “God” you are calling out “power.” Satan has the “power” to give you all that you desire from the kingdom of this world. So, is the God you say thanks to truly the God of Heaven and Earth?

Point 2 – To “fall down” is not bending your knees. In fact, to fall down is to turn your back from our Father who is in heaven. Jesus stated that we are to: Matthew 6:31-33 (KJV) 31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Therefore, when you stop seeking God’s Kingdom and start to seek the kingdom of this world you are falling down from God, and in front of Satan. Therefore, you have fallen down!!!

Point 3 – To “worship” is simply to give “reverence” to. In your right mind, you do not think that you are worshipping Satan. But the truth is, when you “reverence” something other than God you are worshipping Satan. As an example, a mechanic may know the ins and outs of a car, but if he doesn’t know the word of God, such as the Ten Commandments; then he is worshipping the things of this world and not God in heaven. To know the things that are of this world and not know the kingdom of God is a sin to God Himself.

If God has given us the image of Himself, the breath from Himself and the authority as Himself… then what is our message to our Father in heaven, when we ask for the very things from this kingdom of this world?

My people within the body of Christ, did Jesus die for our sins just for us to continue to sin by seeking the kingdom of this world? Are you seeking this kingdom of the world just to prosper for self while the masses of our people suffer? If you are, know this:

1 Corinthians 10:20-22 (KJV) 20 But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils. 21 Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table, and of the table of devils. 22 Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he?

Love you my brothers and sisters in Christ.
