Introduction
Universal Housing Services is seeking proposals on behalf of the owner Scattered Sites III, LLC for Construction Services for Earthwork, Foundations, Water and Sewers, Landscaping, Excavations, Structural Concrete, Site Concrete, House & Garage Erection, Rough Carpentry, Finish Carpentry, Siding and Gutters, Porch Installation, Roofing, Millwork, Hanging & Finishing Drywall, Paint, Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, Installation of Garage Doors & Openers.
Selections will be based on; the proposal estimate, qualifications, ability to meet City of Milwaukee EBE requirements, experience of the company and individuals assigned to the project, capacity of organizations to meet the needs of the project. A single lump sum base bid proposal shall be submitted for each individual work category including all labor, materials, equipment, engineering, safety, supervision, taxes, permits, and appurtenances to complete the specified work in that package per the plans dated 12/30/09 and specifications dated January 15th , 2010; Rev-8.1.
Project Description
Total project scope includes new construction of 24 single family houses with, yard ,and garage. They are located in Milwaukee between 15th and 24th Streets and from Burleigh to North Avenue. We have included a project schedule for your use.
Schedule
A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at WHEDA Milwaukee office; 120 S. 1st St., Suite 200 on Monday June 28, 2010 at 9:00 am. Proposals are due at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, July 6, 2010. Faxed copies of the proposal can be faxed to 866-429-4123. Original copies should be mailed to Universal Housing at 4265 N 30th Street. Milwaukee, WI 53216. Interviews and awards will follow.

Plans and Specifications are available to be viewed at Universal Housing, all Chambers of Commerce and for purchase at Reprographics (414-383-1630)
MBE Participation
The involvement of Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and City of Milwaukee Emerging Business Enterprise (EBE) companies is required. Each proposal should identify specific experience in working with these programs; actual percentages achieved targeted components for this project, and a listing of the MBE/EBE companies to be utilized. All bidders are required to achieve no less than 25% participation.
