Response to Victor Jackson’s Letter to the editor
Dear Mr. Jackson, I thank you for your response from the article, “Why are you a slave.” Please let me express…
- I do understand the difference between the different styles of writing. I have chosen the lecture style because it is a simple format for those who don’t have the time nor will to look up every scripture such as your letter has, and still give them the truth as God has given it to me.
- Out of everything you stated you never addressed the key subject; our people are enslaved. Are you saying we are not? Are you truly saying this is not true to include the “saved” as well as the unsaved? Have you not turned your back to God once, being saved? God is a Jealous God, is He not?
- My position is to point out the truth as Jesus did, in a “simple” way so all can understand the message. The message is people are enslaved because of their disobedience of God’s words. As a people we need to understand that, and not argue how I wrote out the article or try to prove something that no one has or can, of me being a “wolf in sheep clothing.”
- The focus was on “jealousy” in which I do have a true understanding of, being I have my Masters in Christian Counseling. In counseling you approach people where they are at. Some are very spiritual, some are less than, and some even lesser. In each case you address them to where they are at. We as men of God should not overwhelm someone who is a baby or someone who is too busy to look up all these scriptures like the examples you’ve given in your response, as well as not insult the one who is giving the message, even if it is “simple” to you.
- Please let me introduce myself to you: I am a Priest. I am licensed and have been ordained by God and man by the Baptist Association. I have earned my Masters in Christian Counseling and am finishing my PhD in Pastoral Divinity– all at accredited schools. I have learned overseas under Rabbis and other Priests within the Jewish and Christian faith. I have been educated under the best scholars. If there is something that is conflicting to you then think on this:
- The Holy Bible never can conflict. If it does then one of us does not have the full understanding or the interpretation is wrong.
- Since I know I am educated by proven PhD holders, Priests, also knowing Hebrew, Greek, and French languages; could it be that your doctrine is not fulfilled to its fullness?
Let it be no doubt. We are on the same side, saving souls for God. However, let us not judge nor call our people “simple.” They are not simple minded, some are just babes to the understanding of Jesus and this should not be confused with my “by smooth words and flattering” writing. My goal is to reach everyone.
In closing, you sound to me as a man of God who is trying to bring Jesus to the lost. I however, am here to take those who have Jesus and lead them to a higher understanding of the mission. Let me simply say, “Thank you for the response.” Khoda Hafiz simply translates into: Peace and blessings be with you.
