The Metropolitan Milwaukee Alliance of Black School Educators (MMABSE) will hold the 2010 Teacher of the Year Recognition Gala on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 5:30 p.m. Midwest Airlines Center, 400 West Wisconsin Avenue. Attire is semiformal.
The mission of the Metropolitan Alliance of Black School Educators, Inc. is to promote and facilitate the education of all students, African American Students in particular. Our goals are to establish a coalition of African American educators and others directly or indirectly involved in the educational process; to create a forum for the exchange of ideas and strategies to improve educational opportunities for African American people; to identify and professionally develop African American educators; and to influence public policy concerning the education of African American people.
The Metropolitan Milwaukee Alliance of Black School Educators (MMABSE) has provided Milwaukee Public School administrators the opportunity to recommend one staff member from their school who deserves special recognition for his/her achievements and contributions to the staff, students, parents and school as a whole. On May 15, 2010, an award of honor will be presented to individuals in recognition of their outstanding achievements and contributions to their school sites, consistent with the goals of MMABSE.
