Mosaic Communications opens satellite office in Charlotte

Award-winning minority-owned companies team up to pursue new business

Mosaic Communications, a full-service public relations agency, recently announced that it has opened an office in Charlotte, North Carolina through a strategic partnership with Pride Communications. Both companies are owned by African American women.

Mosaic Communications specializes in public relations, media relations, brand management, community relations, website design and marketing research. Pride Communications produces Pride Magazine, a bi-monthly publication targeting the needs and interests of Charlotte’s African American community and provides event management services.

In Charlotte, the companies operate under the Pride Public Relations brand and have already secured several clients since launching the partnership which include Avantgarde Translations, Mecklenburg County Government, Medicine & More Pharmacy, Urban League of Central Carolinas Young Professionals and the University City Community Building Project.

“The combined resources of Mosaic and Pride allow us to cultivate mutually beneficial business opportunities,” said Nepherterra Estrada, co-owner of Mosaic Communications, who is heading up the Charlotte office. “This partnership happened organically because I previously worked with Pride Magazine more than 10 years ago. I’m excited about this partnership; the opportunities are endless.”

Together the two companies service national, regional and local clients and advertisers in a variety of industries that represent the corporate, government, nonprofit and arts and entertainment sectors. This strategic partnership increases the capacity of both companies and provides opportunities for continued growth.

“This creative partnership is a win-win for Mosaic and Pride,” said Johnna Scott, coowner of Mosaic Communications who manages the dayto- day operations of Mosaic’s Milwaukee office. “The fact that there isn’t any duplication between the two companies has proven to be an asset. Our companies truly complement each other.”

Mosaic Communications is a certified Emerging Business Enterprise with the City of Milwaukee, a certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprise with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation and a Minority Business Enterprise with the Wisconsin Department of Administration. Pride Communications is a certified Small Business Enterprise with the City of Charlotte and a member of Carolinas Minority Supplier Development Council, as well as a HUB vendor with the State of North Carolina.
