Visual artist, Evelyn Patricia Terry, experiences a “joyful moment” with patron Linda V. Jones, and fellow artists, Laura Easey – Jones, and Ras `Ammar Nsoroma, during their successful studio exhibition and reception this past Friday. Well attended by both new and former patrons, many visitors added new acquisitions to their collections. It was the first exhibition for the trio together sharing the space as members of the Lincoln Center of the Arts Resident Artists Program. Although Terry has been a LCA resident artist for years, Ammar and Laura joined the program this school year.
The LCA residency program is composed of professional artists who serve as mentors to the school’s students in the disciplines of visual arts, theatre, music, dance, and landscaping through a barter system. Additionally, they are available for other k-12 schools for various curriculum-based fun activities for children and teachers offering a range of workshops. Contact them for healthy food watercolor classes, recycled found object art, mask making, mural painting and much more. Please call the LCA studio at 414.212.3464 to schedule a tour or view artwork.
