The march and rally will take place Monday, January 17th at 1:00pm at St. Francis of Assisi Church (1927 N 4th St., Milwaukee). It will begin with an indoor rally featuring performing artists Dorothy Jackson, Michaela Usher, Andre Lee Ellis and Repairers of the Breach Homeless Choir.
The rally will honor the Milwaukee Commandos who marched over 200 days with Fr. James Groppi for an Open Housing Ordinance in Milwaukee in 1967/68. Following the rally there will be a march to the Dr. King statue on MLK Dr, a 1/2 block north of Walnut and will end in open mic reflections on the message of Dr. King.
