A wide range of resources including job training will be offered at the Fall Job and Resource Fair Sat., Sept. 18.
The Fair will be held between 11 am and 3 pm at St. Mark AME Church at 16th and Atkinson by the Social Development Commission, St. Mark AME and the Prince Hall Masonic Lodge. The day will feature more than 60 organizations and businesses that will connect the community to jobs, driver’s license recovery, education, healthcare, child support debt reduction, financial education, and public safety services.
In attendance at the Resource Fair will be DCF, Milwaukee Early Child Care Administration, and Support Families Together Association to talk about new regulations for child care businesses.
They will offer information on requirements involved in the YoungStar system and how to comply with them. Workshops will also be presented on topics that include diabetes, starting your own business, financial education, and foreclosure prevention.
The Fall Job and Resource Fair will provide some opportunities to apply for work with employers on site as well and the event is free and open to the public.
