On Sunday, Oct. 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Milwaukee Art Museum welcomes the public to participate in Kohl’s Art Generation Family Sundays: Día de los Muertos. Kids and families celebrate this traditional Mexican holiday through art with the Kohl’s Art Generation program at the Milwaukee Art Museum.
Participants can paint their faces, explore the beauty of symbols such as butterflies and marigolds and enjoy festive Mexican dance and mariachi music.
While at the Museum, families can drop by the Kohl’s Education Center for fun-filled activities.
Participants are invited to take a look at the gallery to learn about the art of illusion, the lab for a behind-the-scenes look at the Museum, and the studio for hands-on art making.
Part of the Kohl’s Art Generation program, the Kohl’s Education Center is made possible through $6.4 million from Kohl’s Cares to the Milwaukee Art Museum.
Kohl’s Art Generation Family Sundays events are free with Museum admission.
Children 12-years-old and younger are always free.
