A former Milwaukee Brewer is going to bat for the Social Development Foundation.
Jeff Cirillo, a two time MLB All-Star who played with the Milwaukee Brewers, has announced the Social Development Foundation will be the beneficiary of his 1st Annual Charity Golf Classic this summer. The golf outing will be staged Thursday, July 22 at Lake Lawn Resort in Delavan.
The golf classic will include up to 144 golfers and will feature lunch and dinner as well as silent and live auctions. All proceeds raised during the day will benefit the Social Development Foundation which provides financial support for the programs and services of the Social Development Commission. That agency provides a variety of anti-poverty and educational programs for low-income residents of Milwaukee County.
In explaining why Cirillo is partnering with the Social Development Foundation for the charity golf event, Event Chair David Sengkhammee explained that the former major leaguer connects with the mission and efforts of the foundation in making a real impact on poverty.
